Well Hello There...

My name is Lili and I am the creative director behind Sucel Photography,. Today I'm doing my first blog entry to share a little bit about my passion for photography and where it all began.

You know what they say: "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" ~ Lao

You can turn any dream or passion into your everyday reality. Is it easy? No... just look at me for example I'm still trying to get my white balance right LOL! (only photographers will get that joke lol) but I'm still learning as I go and working hard to improve my craft.

But anyways, I want to share a little with you guys about my photography journey, and give you guys a little background story. So if you want the scoop on my beginnings, keep on reading.

Where It All Began...

Where do I begin... I have been taking photos all my life. First with my Sony cyber shot digital camera, yes you read that right, a $120.00 cute silver camera my dad got me for my 17th or 18th birthday, can't really remember its been many moons since that little camera; he probably got tired of buying me the disposable ones at Publix for $10 every time we went grocery shopping lol!

Let's take it a few years prior to the Sony. My photography curiosity goes way back to when I lived with my great-granfather in Cuba. My grandpa used to keep a big box full of all the old family black & whites (which I loved until this day) and I use to ask him to barrow the box to look over the pictures quite often.

I remember looking over the photos and feeling almost transported back to that time, that time when they were young and full of life, having fun. (sounds sappy, but I swear...totally gave me the chills to look over those old photos. The photos made me feel as part of that past, as if I had been there with them.

But enough of that, fast forward a few years, my husband gifted me my first Revel3Ti DSLR camera for my 27th birthday to take to our trip to Sarasota Fl. With the help of a few friends in the business and YouTube University I learned how to use it and began taking pictures of friends, my dog and family. The more I used it the more I fell in love with it, however...life happens and I was a College student with a full time job, fiancé and a million other responsibilities, so naturally my hobbi kept being put aside for many years before I took it seriously.

In 2016 with the launching of my blog, www.modernmuseliving.com I began to pickup the camera again and make some time to practice, do shoots for friends and family and just get any practice I could really. By mid 2017 I upgraded my little 3ti to a Canon 6D full frame camera and bought my first lens (50mm) from a photographer friend, and well I have not put it down since.  My goal with my art is to create timeless photos.... so hopefully one day a little girl like I once was , will seat down and look upon wonderful family memories, as I once did.
