"Photography is a journey, not a destination" ~ Lili Sucel
Hey again! I am back again with my second entry for the blog! My vision for this weekly blog entry is to take you guys along my journey from the beginning, and what better way to do that than taking a look back at my very first "professional" photo-shoot!
Today I am taking you guys down memory lane, and sharing portraits from my first ever photo session. Prior to this shoot, I had done many photos for family members, friends and used my dog as my main model many times, but that doesn't count right, lol! This was my first actual session shooting on manual mode, which was a little intimidating at the time, okay that was a lie, it was VERY intimidating.
You never forget your first session, that first session that you are really proud of, that session that speaks to you and says "hey, you really love doing this... That first session it's truly your forever baby...
My First Maternity Shoot
I remember spending the afternoon strolling around Palm Beach island, looking for hidden corners to snap the perfect shots—and boy did we find some really good ones! I also remember being nervous, really nervous while capturing these. Luckily for me I had my friend Michelle, founder and owner of Cherry Blossom Studio hold my hand through this first shoot #luckyme.
Fun fact, my first maternity "client" was one of my best friends. At the time she lived in Orlando and hadn't plan for maternity photos and I offered her a last minute photo-shoot and this was what unfolded from our time together.
Looking back at these makes me nostalgic, and brings so much joy to my life. My journey has been short, but so sweet, I have enjoyed every step of the way, every under exposed photo, every day I fought with the sun rays messing up my shots lol! I still fight with my white balance, but with all my heart I have loved every curved my photography journey has had,
As artists, we grow, change and improve daily, and I can honestly say that watching my work evolve has been one of the most satisfying sensations I've experienced.
Thank you for following my journey and supporting my art.
With love,
Lili Sucel
